Sugar Baby Acronyms & Dictionary

When you try to jump in a veteran Sugar Baby’s blog, you will have common questions like- “What’s a POT?” To avoid getting questions like this filling up my email, I created this page to be simple and easily understood by anyone wanting to follow my blog.

Let’s start with the basics. You are looking to be a Sugar Baby or a SB you are looking to find a Sugar Daddy or a SD. See how easy this is! Now when you begin your search for Sugar Daddy, you usually start on web sites such as Seeking Arrangement (SA), Ashley Madison (AM) or Sugar Daddy For Me (SD4M) ect… Once you have actually started talking to men who may one day become a Sugar Daddy, they then become referred to as a Potential Sugar Daddy or a POT. Men who are a regular POT, but haven’t quite made their status of SD yet (usually a man you have dated who may give gifts or small amounts of money), become Regulars or REG. Now that you have a POT you can discuss your arrangement on what type of relationship you will have. Example: sexual, non-sexual, meeting how many times a month, how often you will talk, ect… After the arrangement is decided upon, an allowance which is the amount of money you expect out of the relationship per month (or week or per visit). If you both agree then you now have your SD and you will be officially in the Sugar Bowl or be Sugaring.

Below I have added a more in-depth “Sugar Baby Dictionary”

  • Angel Baby – The Angel Baby is the professional Sugar Baby. She has made Sugar Daddy dating her career and she usually needs a budget of at least $10,000 a month just to cover the bare essentials. As with anything else, you get what you pay for. The Angel Baby brings plenty to the table. She is breathtakingly beautiful, elegant, can hold a conversation with anyone about anything, and turns every head in the room when she walks into a black tie dinner. (See also: The Sugar Angel)
  • Arrangement – This term encompasses the Sugar Daddy, Sugar Baby philosophy. An Arrangement is a negotiated relationship between a Sugar Daddy or Sugar Mommy (the benefactor) and a Sugar Baby or Sugar Pup (the younger companion). The benefactor agrees to financially assist the Sugar Baby or Sugar Pup in return for companionship. The terms of the relationship are clearly spelled out so both parties get exactly what they want.
  • Big Daddy – Big Daddy is the most sought after of Sugar Daddy’s. He is extraordinarily wealthy, usually owns a private jet, and can elevate the Sugar Baby’s or Sugar Pup’s standard of living from dorm room to penthouse in the blink of an eye.
  • Budget – A Budget or Allowance is how much money the Sugar Baby or Sugar Pup needs or expects on a consistent basis from the Sugar Daddy or Sugar Mommy in order to make the arrangement work.
  • Hookup – Technically, a Hookup is the opposite of an Arrangement since the term implies a random, and most likely indiscreet, sexual encounter with a stranger or casual acquaintance. When the rich and famous get caught in an embarrassing sexual tryst, it is because of a Hookup and NOT because of an Arrangement.
  • NSA – This term has really gained popularity in the past few years; No Strings Attached. Simply stated, you get what you want as long as I get what I want and everyone is happy. Live for today.
  • Road Sugar – This rather obscure term refers to Sugar Daddy’s who will only see Sugar Babies outside of their city of residence. Road Sugar occupies the upper echelon of discretion and is typically for married Sugar Daddy’s.
  • Sugar Daddy – This is the term that started it all. A Sugar Daddy is generally a financially well off individual in search of a younger, attractive companion who needs a little financial assistance. Sugar Daddies can be married or single, and the arrangements they establish with their Sugar Babies or Sugar Pups can be sexual in nature or platonic.
  • Sugar Baby – The Sugar Baby is the apple of the Sugar Daddy’s eye. She is typically young, vibrant, full of life and maybe a little short on cash. However, just like Sugar Daddy’s, Sugar Baby’s come in numerous varieties. A Sugar Baby can be an aspiring model or actress, a college student, single mother just trying to maintain a proper standard of living and/or any other woman with a keen sense of self-worth. She provides companionship, excitement and a sense of renewed enthusiasm to the Sugar Daddy. In return, she may require a monthly allowance or that specific financial needs be satisfied. In many cases, she just wants an established gentleman who knows how to treat a lady like a princess.
  • Sugar Bowl – The sugar bowl refers to the Sugar lifestyle in general or the Sugar Daddy dating scene.
  • Sugar Mommy – Powerful women get to have fun too. The Sugar Mommy is the one stroking the checks in the arrangement. She is either a self-made woman or possibly she divorced well, but regardless of her background she is out to have a good time with a younger, good-looking, male or female companion.
  • Sugar Pup – This is the male version of the Sugar Baby. Sugar Pups are straight or gay but they are usually handsome, fit and they know how to play. Sugar Pups have surged in popularity in response to the increase of Sugar Mommy’s getting into the sugar bowl.
  • Tuition Baby – This one is self-explanatory. The Tuition Baby just needs help getting through college or grad school. They are intelligent, mature for their age, and most likely leave the Sugar lifestyle behind upon graduation.
  • Sugar on the Side – Sugar on the side refers to a married Sugar Daddy or Sugar Mommy who keeps their playmate nearby but in the background. Discretion is their first and foremost concern.
